Client Director – Business Insurance

Reports to: Senior Vice President, Business Insurance

Full Time

Prime Directive:

Client focused insurance expert, the Client Director, supports the Business Development Executive (BDE) on new business initiatives and opportunities and drives the delivery and service to assigned House Accounts. You build effective, personalized relationships with clients and prospective clients, learning their risk and insurance program needs. You have a thorough understanding of the insurance marketplace and industry, and you use that expertise in working with the service team to achieve the goals of the client and McLean Hallmark.

General Description

  • Support the BDE on new business initiatives and opportunities which can include meetings, coverage assessments, proposals, coverage implementation, marketing campaigns, insurer negotiations, strategies
  • Continue the relationship with the newly won client as the key contact by providing exceptional service along with the service team.
  • Effectively manage House Accounts as assigned as the key lead on the service team
  • Organic growth of assigned accounts through upsell and cross-sell opportunities
  • Create a climate in which people want to do their best
  • Mentor client service team members on service best practices and other topics relevant to their roles and responsibilities
  • Conduct regular meetings with the client service team to ensure all team members are up to speed on pending client issues, changing needs, implementation of service plan and other issues
  • Conduct meetings independently  with clients as necessary
  • Conduct regular client facing meetings with assigned accounts to promote retention and growth
  • Demonstrates the understanding and ability to speak to strategic and complex insurance programs

• R.I.B.O. Licensed
• Minimum 5 years experience working on complex commercial insurance risks
• Has completed CAIB, CIP, CRM or actively working towards this goal
• Prior success in client facing sales/service role
