McLean Hallmark Insurance Group Ltd is a company with a rich history; it tells a story of evolution. Formerly known as Moore McLean Insurance Group, the company was founded in Toronto in 1975 by partners Fred McLean and George Moore. Their goal was to create a commercial-focused brokerage that prides itself on integrity, ethics, and quality relationships with clients, suppliers, and employees. This solid foundation has continuously stood strong throughout the evolution of our firm for more than 40 years, and across two generations of insurance professionals.
In 2008, Moore McLean acquired Dale & Morrow, a Brampton-based insurance brokerage with deep roots in the community having been founded in 1928. In 2016, Moore McLean acquired Hallmark Insurance Brokers and the name of the combined entity changed to our current name – McLean Hallmark Insurance Group. Both organizations followed similar principles and continue to strive for excellence as a collective.
Today, McLean Hallmark is one of the largest independently owned insurance brokers in Canada, generating premium volume of more than $105 million. The brokerage has strong relationships with virtually every key company licensed in the country. We are a member of the Canada Broker Network, a group of leading independent commercial insurance brokers, and Intersure, a group of over 40 leading Independent Insurance Brokers and Agents across North America.
